Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Project Design and Engineering Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams across the full project lifecycle for Ports & Maritime in the UK. You will drive feasibility, FEED and detailed design, ensuring robust engineering deliverables, risk management, and seamless interfaces with clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Proven Design Management & Engineering Leadership on complex infrastructure.
  • Strong background in civil/structural/marine engineering.
  • Experience with FEED, detailed design, and design assurance.
  • Experience leading diverse engineering teams.
  • Collaborative stakeholder engagement with clients, regulators and partners.
  • Chartered Engineer status.
  • Passion for technical excellence and sustainable infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams through feasibility, FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
  • Manage design programmes, deliverables, risk, interfaces and change control.
  • Provide strategic engineering leadership during bids and project development.
  • Drive innovative, sustainable engineering solutions that meet client, operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Embed health, safety and environmental considerations into all design solutions.
  • Ensure integration across civil, structural, marine, mechanical and electrical functions.
