Job summary

Workforce Staffing Ltd is recruiting a CNC Turner Programmer for a Poole-based engineering firm. The role is days-based, permanent, with a salary of £38,000–£41,000 and a structured 8am-5pm (Fri 8-2) schedule.

You will read and interpret drawings, set and operate Doosan Lynx and Puma CNC machines on Fanuc controls, and follow work instructions. ISO9001 quality work and overtime at enhanced rates are supported.

Qualifications

• Experience setting & operating CNC machines is essential.
• Programming experience is an advantage.
• Able to use Fanuc controls (offset alterations/tool setting/program editing).
• Mazak experience is advantageous but not required.
• Minimum 2 years CNC experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Set and operate Doosan Lynx and Puma CNC machines.
• Use Fanuc operating systems.
• Follow work instruction sheets and amend as needed.
• Maintain ISO9001 quality standards.
• Edit programs for speeds/feeds adjustments.
• Maintain tolerance and inspect own work.
• Support 5S and housekeeping standards.

Job Title: CNC Turner Programmer

Job Type: Days based, Perm

Location: Poole

Hours: 8am-5pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-2pm Fri

Pay: £38,000 - £41,000

Our client is a well-established family run business that have been operating over 50 years. Due to continued success and a ever-growing order book, they’re looking for a CNC Turner Programmer.

Your main responsibilities will involve:

• Reading & understanding engineering drawings.
• (programming if able) Setting & Operating a range of Doosan Lynx & Puma CNC Machines.
• Using Fanuc Operating Systems.
• Following work instruction sheets to aid setting.
• Amend work instruction sheets with updated/additional information.
• Changing of Tips/Cutters.
• Experience of Twin Turrets / Spindles / XY an advantage
• Producing parts to ISO9001 Standard.
• Editing of Programs to make slight adjustments (Speeds/Feeds).
• Tolerance Control to maintain drawing specifications.
• Inspecting own work before submitting in for first off inspection.
• 5S and Maintaining a good standard of housekeeping.
• Adhering to Health & Safety.

Your skills and qualifications as a skilled CNC Turner;

• Experience of Setting & Operating of CNC Machines is essential. Programming would be an advantage
• Able to use Fanuc Operating System (Offset Alterations/Tool Setting/Program Editing).
• Mazak Experience is also advantageous (Not Required)
• At least 2 years CNC Experience
