Job summary

Optical Precision in City of London is seeking an experienced CNC Turner, Programmer, Setter to program, set and operate a Doosan Puma 2600 single-turret lathe with Fanuc controls. The role offers £20-£22 per hour, with overtime and benefits.

Candidates should have at least 5 years in CNC turning, be able to read engineering drawings, write and prove programs, work unsupervised or in a team, and handle small batch sizes with tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Extensive CNC turning experience (min 5 years).
• Ability to write and prove programs, ideally with Fanuc controls.
• Good all-round knowledge of machining various materials.
• Able to work unsupervised, and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate the Doosan Puma 2600 single‑turret lathe.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings with tight tolerances.
• Ensure high precision and meet time schedules while maintaining quality.

CNC Turner, Programmer, Setter

Experienced CNC Turner required to program, set & operate a Doosan Puma 2600 single turret lathe with C & Y Axis. Hourly rate £20-£22 per hour, plus overtime and benefits.

CNC Turner, Programmer, Setter - Candidates should have the following skills and experience:

• Extensive CNC turning experience (min 5 Years)


• Ability to write and prove programs, ideally with Fanuc controls


• A good all round knowledge of machining various materials.


• Ability to work unsupervised, and as part of a team.


• Experience of working with small batch sizes; such as 1-10 offs.


• Able understand engineering drawings.


• Able to work to a high level of precision with tight tolerances and time schedules.
