Workforce Staffing Ltd in Oldbury are recruiting an experienced CNC Turner Programmer to join a precision engineering manufacturer. You will program, set and operate Fanuc CNC lathes to manufacture high-quality components in small to medium batches.

You should read drawings, install tooling, perform first-off inspection with micrometers and verniers, and maintain tight tolerances. The role offers £17.00-£18.50 per hour, Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm and Friday 7:30am-12:30pm, with 28 days

Qualifications

Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
Experience machining precision components to tight tolerances.
Competent using inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers and bore gauges.

Responsibilities

Program, set and operate CNC turning machines with Fanuc controls.
Produce precision components in batch sizes ranging from 1-offs through to 100-offs.
Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
Select and install tooling, making offset adjustments where required.
Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using measuring equipment.
Machine components to tight tolerances of 20-30 microns.
Monitor machine performance and make programme or tooling adjustments to maintain quality.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Work closely with the production team to meet quality and delivery targets.
