Job summary

Holt Engineering Ltd in Wareham, Dorset is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join our busy machine shop. The role focuses on programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines to produce high-precision components to tight tolerances.

You will read engineering drawings, program and edit CNC lathe operations, and perform tool setting and offset adjustments. We offer a competitive rate of £15.50–£22.50 per hour, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, overtime, and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Turner, Setter or Programmer.
• Experience with Fanuc controls or similar CNC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances.
• Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• A proactive, reliable and self-motivated approach.

A well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Wareham is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join its busy machine shop team. This is a hands-on role focused on programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines to produce high-quality components to tight tolerances.

The Role

As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC lathes to manufacture precision components.

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines.
• Editing programs and carrying out tooling adjustments.
• Performing tool setting and offset adjustments.
• Producing components to tight tolerances.

What We're Looking For
