Job summary

Holt Engineering in Weymouth is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join their precision manufacturing team. You will set and/or programme CNC turning machines, interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and perform first-off inspections and in-process quality checks. The role demands attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Turner in engineering or manufacturing.
• Ability to set and/or programme CNC turning machines.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Setting and/or programming CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components.
• Working from detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Carrying out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks using inspection equipment.
• Adjusting offsets, tooling and programmes to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Supporting production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ensuring machines and work areas are kept clean, safe and well maintained.
• Working to company quality standards and manufacturing procedures.

A well-established engineering business in Weymouth is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join its growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner who is confident setting and/or programming CNC turning machines and wants to work within a precision engineering environment.

With both day and night shift options available, this CNC Turner role offers strong earning potential, overtime opportunities and long-term stability within a well-equipped workshop.

Desired Experience

• Experience with Fanuc, Mazak or similar CNC controls.
• Offline programming experience.
• Experience working within high-precision or high-volume manufacturing environments.
