Holt Engineering in Bournemouth is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to operate and set up CNC lathes, ensuring precision parts from technical drawings. You will maintain tight tolerances, inspect outputs, and adapt programs to optimise production in a modern, well‑equipped workshop.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner on Fanuc or Siemens controls.
• Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Hands-on skills setting tooling and offsets, and editing programs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components.
• Check parts meet quality standards and maintain tight tolerances.
• Edit and tweak CNC programs to optimise production.
• Inspect your own work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Assist with routine machine maintenance and keep the shop floor safe.

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well‑established precision engineering manufacturer in Bournemouth. This permanent, full‑time role is ideal for a CNC Turner who takes pride in producing high‑quality components and enjoys working in modern, well‑equipped facilities.

Role Overview

As the CNC Turner, you will set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts from technical drawings. You will maintain tight tolerances, inspect your own work, and ensure programs run smoothly while contributing to a safe and efficient workshop environment.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high‑quality work
• Multi‑axis CNC experience is advantageous but not essential
