Job summary

React Recruitment Ltd is assisting a Crayford-based client in finding an experienced CNC Team Leader (3-Axis CADCAM). This hands-on senior role will lead the machining department, set up, operate, and program CNC mills, and mentor junior staff while driving continuous improvements.

You will work closely with the Engineering Manager in a 40-hour week with overtime as required. Benefits include 30 days leave, Xmas bonus, pension, and free parking.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior 3-Axis CNC Machinist or Team Leader.
• Strong proficiency in setting, operating, and programming CNC milling machines.
• Experience with Heidenhain controls is highly preferred.
• Hands-on CADCAM programming experience is essential.
• Natural leadership qualities with a passion for mentoring, training, and developing junior staff.
• A proactive mindset with a track record of driving continuous improvements

Responsibilities

• This is a hands-on working leadership position. You will actively set, operate, and programme CNC machines while balancing departmental and team leadership responsibilities.
• Lead day-to-day machining operations and drive continuous improvements in the 3-axis department.
• Mentor and train junior machinists to develop skills and capability.

Our client is seeking a proactive 3-Axis CNC Team Leader Senior Machinist with strong CADCAM experience to join their dynamic engineering team. Working closely with the Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the 3-axis machining department, driving continuous improvements, and mentoring the next generation of engineering talent.
