Job summary

Involve Recruitment seeks an experienced CNC Miller / Setter Operator for an established precision engineering company in Wolverhampton on a temporary basis. You will set and operate CNC milling machines, edit programs at the machine, and machine small batch precision components from engineering drawings.

The role requires strong setting skills, ability to adjust CNC programmes, and a proven track record with tolerances.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller / Setter Operator to join an established precision engineering company in Wolverhampton on a temporary basis. This is a hands-on role working on small batch precision components, so we need someone who can confidently set and operate CNC milling machines and edit or adjust programmes at the machine. This is not a basic machine operating role – you must have previous CNC milling setting experience and be comfortable making programme adjustments.

The Role

As a CNC Miller / Setter Operator, your duties will include:

• Editing and adjusting CNC programmes
• Machining small batch precision components
• Working from engineering drawings
• Setting tooling and workholding
• Checking components and working to required tolerances
• Making offsets and adjustments where required
• Using measuring equipment to check finished components
• Maintaining a high standard of quality throughout production

What We're Looking For

You should have previous experience as a:

• CNC Miller
• CNC Setter / Operator
• CNC Machinist
• Milling Machine Setter / Operator

You will need:

About the Company

You’ll be working with an established British precision engineering manufacturer based in Wolverhampton. The company produces specialist, high-quality engineered components in-house, including work for the automotive and other engineering sectors. Much of the work involves specialist and small batch components, offering more variety than a repetitive high-volume production environment.

Hours

39 hours per week

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am–4:15pm

Friday: 7:00am–1:00pm
