Job summary

Ganymede is seeking an experienced CNC precision machinist to produce high-quality parts on 3-axis milling machines. You will interpret engineering drawings, program using Fanuc controls, and set up Haas machines to exact tolerances.

Ideal candidates are apprentice trained with experience in N/C turning; strong measurement skills with micrometers and calipers are essential. The role offers an excellent starting salary with annual pay increases and bonuses, plus a generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Preferably apprentice trained C&G/NVQ.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and program.
• Expert knowledge of Fanuc controller and G codes.
• Set and operate machine tools (Haas).
• Ideally experience of CNC turning (not essential).
• Able to use a micrometer, callipers and other measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate 3 axis CNC milling machines to produce parts to tight tolerances.
• Program from drawings online using Fanuc controllers.
• Load pre-existing programs and verify setup accuracy and offsets.
• Ensure tooling is correct and fit for purpose.
• Check first offs and ensure batches are manufactured correctly.
• Complete job cards and paperwork per operation.

Are you an experienced and skilled CNC precision machinist used to producing high quality parts from various materials?

Are you thinking about looking at a new opportunity within a recently purchased company who are moving to larger, new and improved facilities?

I am working with a well established Leicester company who have been recently acquired by a much large organisation. Due to investment and exciting future plans they are now expanding their operations in Leicester, by adding new engineers and moving into a new larger premises

The Role

• Working on 3 axis CNC Milling Machines producing parts to tight tolerances
• Programming from Drawings Online using Fanuc Controllers
• Loading pre-existing programs and ensuring set ups are accurate and offsets
• Ensure all tooling is correct and fit for purpose
• Checking first offs ensuring batches are manufactured correctly
• Ensuring all job cards and paperwork are completed per operation

About You
