Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Ltd. Leicester is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to program, setter and operate 3-axis milling machines on tight tolerances. You will program from drawings using Fanuc controls and load existing programs, checking setups and offsets.

The role requires apprentice training (C&G/NVQ), ability to read drawings, and familiarity with Fanuc and Haas machines. Turning experience is a plus. You will use micrometers and calipers to verify parts, with rewards including annual pay

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained in C&G/NVQ with relevant machining discipline.
• Able to read engineering drawings and program CNC machines.
• Experience with Fanuc controller and G codes.
• Experience setting and operating Haas machines.
• CNC Turning experience desirable but not essential.
• Able to use micrometers and calipers for precise measurement.

Responsibilities

• Work on 3 axis CNC Milling Machines producing parts to tight tolerances.
• Program from drawings online using Fanuc Controllers.
• Load pre-existing programs and ensure setups are accurate and offsets.
• Ensure tooling is correct and fit for purpose.
• Check first offs ensuring batches are manufactured correctly.
• Complete job cards and paperwork per operation.

Are you an experienced and skilled CNC precision machinist used to producing high quality parts from various materials?

Are you thinking about looking at a new opportunity within a recently purchased company who are moving to larger, new and improved facilities?

I am working with a well established Leicester company who have been recently acquired by a much large organisation. Due to investment and exciting future plans they are now expanding their operations in Leicester, by adding new engineers and moving into a new larger premises

The Role

• Working on 3 axis CNC Milling Machines producing parts to tight tolerances
• Programming from Drawings Online using Fanuc Controllers
• Loading pre-existing programs and ensuring set ups are accurate and offsets
• Ensure all tooling is correct and fit for purpose
• Checking first offs ensuring batches are manufactured correctly
• Ensuring all job cards and paperwork are completed per operation

About You

• Preferably be apprentice trained C&G/NVQ
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and program
• Have expert knowledge of Fanuc controller and G codes
• Be able to set and operate machine tools (Haas)
• Ideally have experience of CNC Turning (not essential)
• Be able to use a micrometer, callipers and other measurement tools
