Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Ltd. in Leicester is seeking an experienced CNC Turner Programmer/Setter/Operator to produce high-precision parts from various materials. The role is based in Leicester with immediate start and permanent contract.

You will program from drawings using Fanuc controllers, set ups and offsets, check first-offs, manage tooling, and ensure paperwork is completed for each operation. Experience with Haas and live tooling is desirable.

Qualifications

• Able to interpret engineering drawings and program CNC machines.
• Expert knowledge of Fanuc controllers and G codes.
• Set up and operate Haas machines with accuracy.
• Live tooling experience is advantageous.
• CNC milling experience is welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work on CNC turning machines producing parts to tight tolerances.
• Program from drawings online using Fanuc controllers.
• Load pre-existing programs and verify set ups and offsets.
• Ensure tooling is correct and fit for purpose.
• Check first offs and ensure batches are manufactured correctly.
• Complete job cards and paperwork per operation.

Are you an experienced and skilled CNC precision machinist used to producing high quality parts from various materials?

Are you thinking about looking at a new opportunity within a recently purchased company who are moving to larger, new and improved facilities?

I am working with a well established Leicester company who have been recently acquired by a much large organisation. Due to investment and exciting future plans they are now expanding their operations in Leicester, by adding new engineers and moving into a new larger premises

The Role

• Working on CNC Turning Machines producing parts to tight tolerances
• Programming from Drawings Online using Fanuc Controllers
• Loading pre-existing programs and ensuring set ups are accurate and offsets
• Ensure all tooling is correct and fit for purpose
• Checking first offs ensuring batches are manufactured correctly
• Ensuring all job cards and paperwork are completed per operation

About You

• Preferably be apprentice trained C&G/NVQ
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and program
• Have expert knowledge of Fanuc controller and G codes
• Be able to set and operate machine tools (Haas)
• Have experience of live tooling (Ideally)
• Ideally have additional experience of CNC Milling (not essential)
• Be able to use a micrometer, callipers and other measurement tools
