Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited in Leicester are seeking an experienced CNC Turner Programmer / Setter / Operator for a permanent role. You will work on CNC turning machines, programming from drawings using Fanuc controllers, and ensure accurate set ups and tooling.

The role requires interpreting engineering drawings, setting and operating Haas machines, and familiarity with live tooling. Benefits include an excellent starting salary with annual pay rises and a substantial annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained to C&G/NVQ level or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Expert knowledge of Fanuc controllers and G codes.
• Able to set and operate CNC lathes (Haas).
• Experience with live tooling is advantageous.
• CNC milling experience is a plus but not essential.
• Skilled with measurement tools (micrometer, calipers).

Responsibilities

• Program from drawings online using Fanuc controllers.
• Load pre-existing programs and verify set ups and offsets.
• Ensure tooling is correct and fit for purpose.
• Check first offs and ensure batches are manufactured correctly.
• Complete job cards and paperwork per operation.

Are you an experienced and skilled CNC precision machinist used to producing high quality parts from various materials?

Are you thinking about looking at a new opportunity within a recently purchased company who are moving to larger, new and improved facilities?

I am working with a well established Leicester company who have been recently acquired by a much large organisation. Due to investment and exciting future plans they are now expanding their operations in Leicester, by adding new engineers and moving into a new larger premises

The Role

• Working on CNC Turning Machines producing parts to tight tolerances
• Programming from Drawings Online using Fanuc Controllers
• Loading pre-existing programs and ensuring set ups are accurate and offsets
• Ensure all tooling is correct and fit for purpose
• Checking first offs ensuring batches are manufactured correctly
• Ensuring all job cards and paperwork are completed per operation

About You

• Preferably be apprentice trained C&G/NVQ
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and program
• Have expert knowledge of Fanuc controller and G codes
• Be able to set and operate machine tools (Haas)
• Have experience of live tooling (Ideally)
• Ideally have additional experience of CNC Milling (not essential)
• Be able to use a micrometer, callipers and other measurement tools
