Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited in Leicester is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator to produce precision parts on 3 axis milling machines. You will read drawings, program Fanuc controls from online drawings, load existing programs and verify offsets and tooling are correct.

The role offers an excellent starting salary with annual pay increases, a bonus scheme up to 10%, enhanced holiday entitlement and above market rate overtime. Permanent opportunity with immediate start.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained C&G or NVQ in machining or equivalent.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and program CNC machines.
• Expert knowledge of Fanuc controllers and G codes.
• Experience setting and operating Haas machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program from drawings for 3-axis CNC milling with Fanuc controllers.
• Load pre-existing programs, verify offsets and tool setup.
• Ensure tooling is correct and fit for purpose.
• Check first parts and batch quality against drawings.
• Complete job cards and paperwork for each operation.

Are you an experienced and skilled CNC precision machinist used to producing high quality parts from various materials?

Are you thinking about looking at a new opportunity within a recently purchased company who are moving to larger, new and improved facilities?

I am working with a well established Leicester company who have been recently acquired by a much large organisation. Due to investment and exciting future plans they are now expanding their operations in Leicester, by adding new engineers and moving into a new larger premises

The Role

• Working on 3 axis CNC Milling Machines producing parts to tight tolerances
• Programming from Drawings Online using Fanuc Controllers
• Loading pre-existing programs and ensuring set ups are accurate and offsets
• Ensure all tooling is correct and fit for purpose
• Checking first offs ensuring batches are manufactured correctly
• Ensuring all job cards and paperwork are completed per operation

About You

• Preferably be apprentice trained C&G/NVQ
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and program
• Have expert knowledge of Fanuc controller and G codes
• Be able to set and operate machine tools (Haas)
• Ideally have experience of CNC Turning (not essential)
• Be able to use a micrometer, callipers and other measurement tools
