Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Ltd. in Leicester is seeking a skilled CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator to join a growing team. You will work on 3-axis CNC milling machines, programming from drawings and loading existing programs with Fanuc controllers.

The successful candidate will set up tooling, verify offsets, and ensure first-offs and batches meet tight tolerances. A background with Haas machines and micrometer/caliper measurements is preferred.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained / C&G NVQ preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and program CNC machines.
• Expert knowledge of Fanuc controllers and G codes.
• Able to set up and operate Haas machine tools.
• Experience with CNC turning is a plus but not essential.
• Able to measure with micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Program from drawings using Fanuc controllers.
• Load pre-existing programs and ensure set ups are accurate and offsets.
• Ensure tooling is correct and fit for purpose.
• Check first offs and ensure batches are manufactured correctly.
• Complete all job cards and paperwork per operation.
• Operate 3-axis CNC milling machines to tight tolerances.

Are you an experienced and skilled CNC precision machinist used to producing high quality parts from various materials?

Are you thinking about looking at a new opportunity within a recently purchased company who are moving to larger, new and improved facilities?

I am working with a well established Leicester company who have been recently acquired by a much large organisation. Due to investment and exciting future plans they are now expanding their operations in Leicester, by adding new engineers and moving into a new larger premises

The Role

• Working on 3 axis CNC Milling Machines producing parts to tight tolerances
• Programming from Drawings Online using Fanuc Controllers
• Loading pre-existing programs and ensuring set ups are accurate and offsets
• Ensure all tooling is correct and fit for purpose
• Checking first offs ensuring batches are manufactured correctly
• Ensuring all job cards and paperwork are completed per operation

About You

• Preferably be apprentice trained C&G/NVQ
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and program
• Have expert knowledge of Fanuc controller and G codes
• Be able to set and operate machine tools (Haas)
• Ideally have experience of CNC Turning (not essential)
• Be able to use a micrometer, callipers and other measurement tools
