Obscurant Recruitment Solutions Ltd seeks a CNC Miller Setter Operator for a double-days role based in Poole. The position offers a strong basic salary of £41,725.00, overtime after 37 hours, 33 days holiday with the option to buy five extra days, and a pension with health benefits.

You will set and operate Mazak or Fanuc CNC milling machines, produce precision components to drawing tolerances, and work from setup sheets with a focus on quality and lean production.

Responsibilities

• Select tooling and holding devices from tool sheets.
• Set up to the provided setup sheets and amend as required.
• Prove out programs and conduct first-off inspections.
• Maintain production targets and lean principles, complete OEE data sheets.
• Ensure tooling and gauging remain high quality and accurate.

CNC Miller Setter Operator – Double Days - Based Poole

IMMEDIATE START! This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding global engineering company where you will receive additional training and career progression.

Basic salary £41,725.00 includes shift allowance, plus paid overtime after 37 hours, 33 days holiday with an option to buy five extra days, matched contributory pension scheme, health cash plan, PPE provided.

Double Days shift pattern is as follows:

• Early Shift – Monday to Thursday 6am to 2.15pm and Friday 6am to 2pm
• Late Shift – Monday to Thursday 2:15pm to 10:15pm and Friday 12pm to 7:30pm
• 2 weeks rotation shift

The ideal CNC Miller Setter Operator will have completed an apprenticeship or gained equivalent practical experience, with a proven ability to set and operate CNC milling machines using Mazak or Fanuc controls.

You will be a skilled machinist able to produce high-quality components within specified drawing tolerances and production efficiency targets.

Duties

• Ability to select the correct tooling, holding devices for manufacture from tool sheets.
• Set to the set-up sheets, amend as required.
• Prove out proven/unproven programs.
• Conduct first off inspections and complete feedback tickets of set and run times.
• Maintain production targets, maintain lean principles, and complete OEE data sheets.
• Ensure all tooling and gauging is maintained to a high quality and maintain lean principles.
• Liaising with production engineers to ensure productivity.Unable to work individually as well as part a team and be highly motivated.
• Ability to produce components to drawing tolerances within the quality specification within the various industries sectors.
