Job summary

Tawakkul Ltd in Oldham is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join a precision engineering team. You will program, set and operate CNC milling machines on medium-to-large components and bespoke parts, ensuring parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.

Based in Oldham, the role is full-time with 37.5 hours weekly and a shift allowance where applicable. DOE salary is £17-£20 per hour, with a competitive benefits package and opportunities for long-term career stability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Miller or related role.
• Strong CNC milling programming and setting experience.
• Experience with reading/interpreting engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
• Fanuc control experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines.
• Work with vertical and horizontal machining centres.
• Produce precision components from detailed engineering drawings.
• Manufacture medium-to-large components to tight tolerances.
• Carry out machine setups, tooling changes and programme adjustments.

About the Role

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller, Programmer, Setter or Operator.
• Strong CNC milling programming and setting experience.
• Fanuc control experience preferred but other controls considered.
• Experience machining steel and other engineering materials.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Experience with large components or heavy engineering advantageous.
• Confident working independently with minimal supervision.
