Job summary

Impact Recruitment is recruiting an experienced CNC Miller setter/operator for a well-established precision engineering company in Northamptonshire. You will programme, set and operate CNC milling machines, with Fanuc controls and 3–5 axis capability, ensuring parts meet drawings and specifications.

The role demands a time-served machinist with strong problem-solving skills, capable of working independently on varied and technically demanding projects.

Qualifications

• Must have time-served CNC milling experience.
• Experience with Fanuc controls is essential.
• Experience with 5-axis milling is required.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Work with Fanuc controls on daily tasks.
• Carry out online and offline programming and adjust programmes as needed.
• Work with 3- to 5-axis milling machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ensure components are manufactured to specification.
• Perform quality checks throughout machining processes.
• Trouble-shoot machining issues and adjust as necessary.
• Work independently and use initiative to complete jobs efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a CNC Miller / CNC Milling Machinist.
• A Time Served Machinist with experience in CNC milling.
• Strong CNC machine tool background.
• Experience with Fanuc controls.
• Previous experience with 5-axis milling.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
• Organised with the ability to work efficiently and independently.
• Good communication skills.
