CNC Miller Programmer/Setter


Location: Leeds


Salary: £40,000-£45,000 (depending on experience and shift)


Shifts: Permanent Mornings or Permanent Back Shift (4-day week on back shift)


Contract: Full-time, Permanent


We're supporting a long-established precision engineering business in Leeds as they look to add an experienced CNC Miller Programmer/Setter to their team. This is a stable, well-equipped machine shop with modern CNC machining centres and a strong order book, offering long-term progression and a choice of shifts to suit your lifestyle.


The Role


  • Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines (experience with DMG machines and/or Siemens controls is beneficial)

  • Producing high-precision components to tight tolerances

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

  • Performing in-process inspection to maintain quality standards

  • Working collaboratively with production, engineering and quality teams

  • Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient work area


What We're Looking For


  • Strong CNC milling background with programming and setting experience

  • Confidence working from technical drawings

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of your machine
