Job summary

Catering in Atherstone is seeking an experienced CNC Miller with programming, setting and operating skills on 3+2 axis machines using Heidenhain controls. You will produce high-precision components from engineering drawings and maintain quality and efficiency.

The role offers a permanent position with a 4 on / 4 off days shift pattern, dayshift hours, and a modern precision engineering environment. Overtime and career progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC milling experience.
• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC mills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and inspect parts.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate 3+2 Axis CNC milling machines.
• Create and edit Heidenhain programmes.
• Machine precision components to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Select tooling, feeds and speeds.
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspection.
• Make programme improvements to reduce cycle times.
• Use micrometers and verniers for measurement.
• Maintain high housekeeping and health & safety standards.
• Collaborate with production team to meet delivery targets.

CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator (3+2 Axis)

Atherstone | Up to £45,760 Basic + OTE up to £62,000 | 4 on / 4 off Days | 07:30-18:00 | Permanent

The Company

Our client is a well-established precision engineering company with over 20 years of experience manufacturing high-quality components for the automotive, food processing, heat transfer and general engineering industries.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller to join their skilled machining team.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Miller with programming, setting and operating experience on 3+2 Axis CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.

You’ll be responsible for producing high-precision components from engineering drawings while ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Duties

• Programme, set and operate 3+2 Axis CNC milling machines
• Create and edit Heidenhain programmes
• Machine precision components to tight tolerances
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Select tooling, feeds and speeds
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspection
