Job summary

Interaction Recruitment's client, a well-established precision engineering firm based in Rugby, seeks an experienced CNC Miller with Heidenhain experience to join their growing team. You will set and operate 4- and 5-axis Starrag milling machines to produce precise components for various industries.

The role requires reading detailed drawings, working to tight tolerances, and producing parts from multiple materials. Overtime is available, with a strong benefits package and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with Heidenhain controls.
• Experience with multi-axis Starrag mills is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate 4- and 5-axis Starrag milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
• Produce components to tight tolerances across various materials.
• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings to produce components.
• Follow health and safety policies and procedures.

Job role: CNC Miller & Setter
Salary: £35,000-£38,000 (£16-£19 per hour) + overtime @ 1.33x
Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Hours: 7:45-16:45 Monday to Thursday / 7:30-12:30 on Fridays
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Role

• Set and operate 4 & 5 axis Starrag milling machinery using Heidenhain controls to produce precise components for a variety of industries.
• Produce small and large batches of precise components working to extremely tight tolerances to ensure quality expectations are met.
• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings to produce components using a variety of materials efficiently and effectively.
• Follow and adhere to company Health & Safety policies and procedures.

The Requirements

• Previous experience using Heidenhain controls (essential)
• Proven ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings (essential)
• Previous experience using multi-axis Starrag mills (advantageous)
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Willingness to train and progress
