Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller/Programmer to join a leading precision engineering company based in Coventry (CV7), West Midlands. This role is ideal for a CNC Machinist with strong CNC programming, CNC setting and CNC operating experience, particularly within a fast‑paced machine shop environment.

Location

Based in Coventry (CV7) – ideal for candidates from Coventry, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Birmingham, Leicester, Hinckley & surrounding areas.

Pay

£15.00 – £17.50 per hour, depending on experience

Hours

• Mon–Thurs: 6:45am – 4:00pm
• Fri: 6:45am – 11:45am

Key Responsibilities

• CNC Programming, Setting and Operating on milling machines
• Offline CNC Programming (OneCNC preferred – training provided)
• Producing 1‑off and prototype components to tight tolerances
• Using precision measuring equipment: micrometers, bore mics, depth mics etc.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Working with Haas CNC machinery
• Maintaining high levels of quality, accuracy and attention to detail
• Meeting tight deadlines in a busy precision engineering environment
• Following all health & safety procedures

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Programmer, CNC Setter Operator, or CNC Machinist
• Strong understanding of CAD/CAM or offline programming
• Ability to work on tight tolerance machining
• Background in precision engineering, automotive, aerospace or manufacturing (advantageous)
