Job summary

Kingston Barnes Engineering is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join our precision machining team. You will set up and run CNC milling machines, install fixtures and tools, and produce high-quality detail parts for aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 customers.

Reading drawings, interpreting tolerances, and using Heidenhain or Fanuc controls are essential. Shift patterns include 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm with overtime at time and a half; benefits include pension, 25 days leave, healthcare plan, onsite

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC setter/operator interpreting technical drawings and tolerances.
• Knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.
• Ability to set up fixtures, read drawings, and resolve machining issues.

Position Summary

Are you an experienced CNC Miller looking for a new role? This is a great opportunity to join a leading supplier of machined parts to global Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 customers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operation of CNC Milling machines


• Installing workpieces, fixtures, and cutting tools


• Production of high-quality detail parts


• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications


• Adherence to health and safety protocols


• Adherence to specifications and quality standards

Candidate Profile

• Experienced CNC setter/operator


• Knowledge of Heidenhain & Fanuc controls


• Ability to set work shifts including 4th axis and Trunions


• Ability to read and interpret drawings


• Ability to resolve common CNC machine issues (tooling problems, etc.)


• Experience using measuring equipment


• Understanding of Geometric dimensions and tolerances

Benefits

• £20.40 per hour including shift allowance, £39,249.60 per year


• Monday–Thursday 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm; Friday 6am–11am, 11am–4pm
