Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced CNC Miller for a permanent role in Derby. The candidate will set and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components for a global aerospace precision manufacturer. Aerospace experience and Heidenhain controls are advantageous but not essential.

The role is permanent and dependent on experience, with shifts Monday 3pm–1am and Tue–Thu 3pm–12:30am. Training and development opportunities are provided in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines; 3-axis experience required.
• Machining high-precision metal components for a highly regulated industry.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC milling machines.
• Read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
• Set up machines with required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
• Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve required output levels.

Our client, a global aerospace precision manufacturer, is expanding and looking for a skilled CNC Miller to join their team. The role involves setting and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components.

The ideal candidate will have strong milling experience, be proactive and driven, and confident with machine set-ups. Aerospace experience and Heidenhain controls are advantageous but not essential.
