A leading Precision Engineering firm in Birkenhead is seeking a CNC Machinist specialized in Turning and Programming. This role offers competitive pay of £19 - £20 per hour, in-house training, and 33 days holiday. The successful candidate will operate CNC Turning machines and work collaboratively in a clean workshop environment focused on high quality production standards. Ideal candidates will have experience with Fanuc controls and be reliable team players, with opportunities for career progression.

About the Role

Are you a CNC Machinist with experience in Turning, looking for a stable role within a well‑established Precision Engineering company? We are a family‑owned business with over 30 years of Engineering expertise, featuring brand new Nakamura‑Tome fanuc‑controlled turn‑mills and an up‑to‑date, clean workshop environment. This role offers early Friday finish, extensive overtime earning potential, and in‑house training in sought‑after programming packages.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate and program CNC Turning machines
  • Program using Fanuc controls (previous knowledge required)
  • Support and maintain high quality production standards in a clean workshop setting
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams
  • Adhere to health and safety, quality and performance guidelines
  • Carry out routine checks and preventive maintenance on machines
  • Report any issues and coordinate repairs where necessary
Qualifications & Experience
  • CNC Machinist with proven experience in Turning
  • Good experience with Fanuc controls
  • Commutable distance to Birkenhead
  • Willingness to take advantage of in‑house training in new programming packages
  • Reliable, team‑orientated and a strong safety record
