Job description

Job Title: CNC Machinist

Join our team as a CNC Machinist and contribute to manufacturing high-quality parts using industry-standard CNC techniques. You will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines, including Mazak Mazatrol, and working with both manual and conventional machining equipment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manufacture parts with CNC machines following quality assurance procedures.
  2. Plan machining jobs based on schedules, drawings, and CAD files.
  3. Program new parts and modify existing programs using Mazatrol.
  4. Determine work holding, tooling, and fixtures required for jobs, working independently or with team members.
  5. Assemble and set tools with presetters; design and manufacture fixtures as needed.
  6. Manage tooling and material inventory, placing orders when necessary.
  7. Operate conventional machining equipment as required.
  8. Maintain manufacturing documentation and ensure safety compliance.
  9. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  11. Work scheduled hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
  12. Take ownership of work quality, act professionally, and collaborate effectively with others.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
  1. High school machining program or technical training in machining (preferred).
  2. Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC machines, preferably in a prototyping or low-volume environment.
  3. Experience with Mazak Mazatrol is a plus.
  4. Ability to set up, prove out, and operate CNC machines independently.
  5. Proficient with precision measuring instruments and GD&T.
  6. Knowledge of work holding and tooling in CNC environments.
  7. Strong math skills and basic computer skills.
  8. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
  9. Flexible, adaptable, and able to work in changing schedules.
  10. Excellent communication skills in English.
  11. Ability to produce accurate parts on time with high-quality finishes.
