Job summary

Oliver Rae Ltd in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced CNC Setter Programmer to set and program CNC lathes to drawing specifications in a modern workshop.

You will read drawings, perform tool changes and offsets, conduct quality checks, and maintain machines with proactive maintenance. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with dayshift hours Mon-Thu 07:00-16:00 and Fri 07:00-14:00, with attractive overtime rates.

Position: CNC Lathe Setter Programmer

Location: Wolverhampton

Hours: days with an early finish on a Friday

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established client who is looking for experienced CNC Sliding Head Setter Operators to join their team.

The Role

As a CNC Setter Programmer, you will be responsible for setting and programming CNC machinery to produce high-quality components to drawing specifications.

Your duties will include:

• CNC machine setting and programming
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Tool changes and setting offsets
• Carrying out quality checks and ensuring components meet specifications
• General machine maintenance and housekeeping
• Troubleshooting and making adjustments where required
• Working efficiently and maintaining high standards of quality

About You

We are looking for experienced CNC Setters who are confident programming their own machines and have a strong understanding of CNC machining.
