Latitude Recruitment is helping a client hire a skilled CNC Sliding Head Engineer in the UK. The role focuses on setting and operating CNC sliding head lathes, interpreting engineering drawings, and upholding strict tolerances.

Key duties include inspecting parts with micrometers, verniers and gauges, performing routine maintenance, and collaborating with the team to ensure high standards of workmanship in a safe environment.

Formación

• Experience with CNC sliding head lathes would be desirable but not essential.
• Able to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-driven.

Our clients are seeking a skilled CNC Sliding Head Engineer to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in setting, and operating CNC lathe machines.

This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, high standards of workmanship, and a proactive attitude toward sharing knowledge and supporting the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC sliding head machines
• Carry out part inspection using standard measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.)
• Ensure components are produced to tight tolerances and quality standards
• Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with the team
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience with CNC sliding head lathes would be desirable but not essential
