Job summary

DCV Technologies in Fareham, Hampshire, is seeking an experienced CNC Setter Programmer – Turning to join its precision engineering workshop. You will programme, set and operate multi-axis CNC lathes, delivering high-precision components to exact specifications in a busy shop.

The ideal candidate has proven experience as a CNC Setter Programmer, CNC Turner or CNC Machinist, with knowledge of sliding head or automatic lathes being advantageous. A background in manual machining is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Setter Programmer, CNC Turner or CNC Machinist.
• Ability to programme, set and operate multi-axis CNC lathes.
• Strong engineering or precision manufacturing background.
• Experience working in high-precision machining environments.
• Good understanding of CNC turning processes and machining operations.
• Sliding head lathe experience is highly desirable but not essential.
• Experience with manual machining or additional workshop processes would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate multi-axis CNC turning machines and CNC lathes.
• Produce high-precision machined components to engineering specifications.
• Work with CNC sliding head and automatic lathes where required.
• Carry out additional machining operations, including manual turning, milling and grinding.
• Complete secondary operations such as deburring and component finishing.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, housekeeping and workshop safety.
• Support efficient production within a busy precision engineering environment.

CNC Setter Programmer / CNC Turner / CNC Machinist

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter Programmer – Turning to join a well-established precision engineering and manufacturing business based in Fareham, Hampshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner, CNC Programmer or CNC Machinist with experience in programming, setting and operating multi-axis CNC lathes. The successful candidate will join a specialist machine shop producing high-precision engineered components for demanding applications.

Experience with CNC sliding head lathes, Swiss-type turning or automatic lathes would be particularly advantageous.
