Job summary

JD Gyms is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Peterborough to lead daily gym operations and coach a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants. You will work closely with the General Manager to uphold Health and Safety policies, brand standards and deliver exceptional member experiences.

You will drive membership growth, support commercial targets and help maximise revenue while keeping the facility clean, safe and welcoming for all members and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing colleagues in leisure, fitness, hospitality or customer-focused environments.
• Strong commitment to delivering excellent member service.
• Demonstrated leadership with ability to coach and develop others.
• Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification or higher.
• Experience contributing to membership growth, commercial targets and local marketing.
• Experience recruiting and managing a successful team in a leisure setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the club team to deliver daily gym operations.
• Ensure health and safety policies and brand standards are followed.
• Drive membership growth, revenue, and secondary spending.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe facility standards across the gym.
• Recruit, schedule and manage Fitness Coaches and General Assistants.
• Deliver outstanding member service and create a positive environment.
