JD Gyms in Chester is seeking a General Manager to lead the club operations, drive member satisfaction and commercial success. You will coach staff, uphold safety standards and deliver exceptional service in a welcoming environment.

You will be responsible for achieving membership growth, overseeing daily activities and ensuring clean, safe facilities while representing the JD Gyms brand with integrity and enthusiasm.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in leisure, fitness, hospitality or customer-focused environments.
• Demonstrates strong commitment to delivering excellent member service.
• Experience contributing to membership growth, commercial performance and local marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and JD Gyms procedures.
• Maintain JD Gyms Brand Standards across the club.
• Conduct safety checks daily, weekly and monthly and report defects.
• Recruit and manage Fitness Coaches and General Assistants for daily operations.
• Hold regular team meetings to aid development and update staff.
• Work toward and achieve sales and membership targets; maximise secondary spending.
