Job summary

JD Gyms is seeking a General Manager to lead the club’s overall performance, drive operational excellence, and grow memberships and commercial success. You will create a positive, energetic environment for colleagues and members while safeguarding safety and quality standards across the facility.

In this role you will coach, develop and support staff, maintain high service levels, and collaborate with teams to achieve targets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and company procedures.
• Maintain JD Gyms Brand Standard.
• Conduct safety checks and report defects to keep facilities safe.
• Recruit and manage Fitness Coaches and General Assistants for daily coverage.
• Hold regular team meetings to aid development.
• Aim to achieve sales and membership targets.
• Drive secondary spending revenue.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the facility.
• Manage weekly banking to minimise wastage and maximise profit.
• Ensure uniform standards across the team.
• Deliver outstanding member service and positive interactions.
• Create a supportive working environment and be an ambassador for JD Gyms.
