Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development through challenging projects.

The Cloud Engineer will build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and ensuring high customer satisfaction. The role involves supporting the engineering team and coordinating with Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk.

Responsibilities:
  • Train staff and customers on products and solutions.
  • Assist with professional services and sales opportunities.
  • Monitor customer incidents and report on accounts.
  • Identify trends and security threats impacting customers.
  • Manage documentation related to customer platforms and services.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external processes.
  • Support Proof of Concept scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
  • Create technical documentation such as TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW.
  • Review engineering documentation peer-wise.
  • Assist in pre-staging equipment for customer sites.
  • Participate in customer meetings and reviews.
  • Accurately submit timesheets and expenses.
  • Maintain certifications aligned with role and objectives.
  • Adhere to GDPR and security policies.
Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate has an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. They should have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and experience in medium to large support environments, with on-premise Cloud Services experience.

  • Desirable: VCP 6.x-DCV, LPIC-2
  • Essential: MCSA Windows Server 2016+, Networking, SQL Server 2016+, Azure MFA, Microsoft SCCM, Exchange 2016+, VMware vCloud Director
  • Leadership qualities, excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or in a team.
