Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our successful Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development as a Cloud Engineer through exposure to challenging projects.

The Cloud Engineer will develop and strengthen relationships with both internal and external customers, providing proactive service and acting as a bridge between engineering and Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Cloud Engineer - Responsibilities:

• Train internal staff and customers on products and solutions.
• Assist with Professional Services and Sales opportunities within Network Services.
• Monitor and report on customer incidents.
• Highlight trends, security threats, or technical bulletins affecting customers.
• Manage documentation and technical information related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
• Follow internal and external processes for task management and documentation updates.
• Assist with PoC scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
• Create TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW documentation.
• Peer review engineering documentation.
• Assist with pre-staging equipment for customer sites.
• Participate in customer meetings and reviews.
• Accurately submit timesheets and expenses.
• Ensure certifications and training align with business objectives.
• Adhere to GDPR and security policies.

Who you are:

The ideal Cloud Engineer will have an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange, with support experience in a medium to large environment, and on-premise Cloud Services experience.

• Desirable certifications include VCP 6.x-DCV and LPIC-2.
• Knowledge of Networking, SQL Server, Azure MFA, Microsoft System Configuration Manager, Exchange, VMware vCloud Director.
• Strong work ethic, ownership, and collaborative skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
