AWD online is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer / IT Support Engineer to join the team in Burnley. You will blend infrastructure projects with complex technical support across client environments.

The role focuses on delivering server, cloud, Microsoft 365 and network initiatives, owning escalations and sharing knowledge with colleagues. Flexible working and career development are part of the package.

Qualificações

• Essential: BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Computing (or equivalent) or demonstrable experience.
• Essential: Willingness to work towards Microsoft certifications.
• Essential: Customer-facing 2nd/3rd line support including supporting 1st/2nd line colleagues.
• Essential: Windows, Microsoft 365 and Windows Server administration incl. Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file/print services and Hyper-V or another hypervisor.
• Essential: Business network configuration incl. switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs and Wi-Fi.
• Essential: End-to-end server migration delivery incl. planning, cutover and handover.
• Essential: Complex issue resolution using root cause analysis and clear documentation.
• Essential: Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Essential: Logical, methodical and calm approach to planned work and urgent customer needs.
• Essential: Reliable, accountable and able to work independently and in a team.
• Essential: Able to commit to a predominantly office-based role in Burnley.
• Essential: Car driver for client-site travel, or alternative transport for IT equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver and configure infrastructure, cloud services, Microsoft 365, Azure IaaS and software.
• Deliver server upgrades and migrations, including on-premises to Azure IaaS and SharePoint/OneDrive.
• Design, install and configure switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs and Wi-Fi.
• Lead or support installations, migrations and client onboarding, documenting lessons learned.
• Own escalated server, network, Microsoft 365 and Azure issues through root cause and resolution.
• Advise clients, mentor colleagues and contribute to knowledge articles.
• Apply cybersecurity best practices and implement endpoint management, backup and disaster recovery.
• Maintain project documentation and support automation, integrations and improvements.
• Assist with scoping, quotations and occasional project-related sales, marketing and networking.
