Job summary
Softcat plc is seeking a Cloud Billing Analyst to manage billing for multi-vendor cloud and consumption services. You will work with large data volumes, gaining insights into a wide range of vendor products and ensuring billing accuracy through detailed analysis and cross-team collaboration.
In this role you’ll be the go-to person for sales teams and customers, balancing day-to-day billing operations with data analysis and customer support.

The Cloud Billing team is expanding in response to the growing shift towards consumption-based models for cloud software and services, where customer billing is generated monthly based on actual usage. As part of the wider Finance function, the team plays a critical role in producing accurate and timely invoices for our rapidly growing Cloud & Consumption business.

Your Role
As a Cloud Billing Analyst, you will play a key role in managing the billing processes for our multi-vendor cloud and consumption services. You'll work with large volumes of data, gain a deep understanding of a wide range of vendor products, and ensure billing accuracy through detailed analysis and collaboration across teams.
In this role, you'll also be the go-to person for sales teams and customers, helping them navigate and understand their billing information. No two days are the same—you'll balance day-to-day billing operations, data analysis, and customer support, making a real impact on both our team and our customers.

What you'll be doing
- Analysedata from cloud and subscription vendors to support monthly billing cycles and inform operational decisions.
- Providebilling support to account managers and internal stakeholders via ServiceNow, including resolving issues and occasionally participating in customer calls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Accounts Payable, and Account Collections to ensure seamless billing operations.
- Contribute to projects focused on improving and streamliningbilling processes.
What we need from you
- Proven experience in issueinvestigation and root cause analysis.
- Exceptional written and verbalcommunication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellentorganisational abilities.
- Proactive approach with accountability for billing responsibilities.
- Strongnumerical and data analysis skills, comfortable working with large datasets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experiencewith ServiceNow, Oracle NetSuite, or similar systems (preferred).
- Enthusiasm for thriving in a fast-paced, growing technology business with evolving opportunities.
