Job summary

Softcat is seeking a Cloud Billing Team Leader to drive the delivery of cloud billing operations. You will lead a team of Cloud Billing Analysts, manage workloads and KPIs, and partner with Finance, Technology and Sales to ensure accurate, scalable billing for customers.

You’ll coach and develop your team, handle escalations, and drive continuous improvement across billing processes, controls and governance in a hybrid working environment.

• Experience in complex billing, finance, technology, cloud or managed services.
• Experience leading, coaching or coordinating operational teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing high-volume operational processes and competing priorities.
• Solid understanding of operational controls, governance and service management.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with complex data.
• Proactive mindset with a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement.

The Role

As a Cloud Billing Team Leader, you'll play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of our cloud billing operations. Supporting the Cloud Billing Manager, you'll lead a team of Cloud Billing Analysts, overseeing workloads, maintaining service quality and helping to deliver accurate and scalable billing solutions for our customers.

Working across Finance, Technology, Sales, Customer Operations and Service Delivery, you'll be responsible for resolving operational challenges, driving continuous improvement and ensuring our cloud billing service evolves alongside our growing cloud business.

As a Cloud Billing Team Leader, you'll be responsible for:

We'd love you to have

• Experience working within a complex billing, finance, technology, telecommunications, cloud or managed services environment.
• Previous experience leading, coaching or coordinating operational teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing high-volume operational processes and competing priorities.
• A solid understanding of operational controls, governance and service management.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with complex data.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement.

It would be great if you also had

• Experience with cloud, subscription or usage-based billing models.
• Knowledge of Microsoft, AWS or Adobe billing.
• Experience with Oracle NetSuite.
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience supporting operational transformation or business change initiatives
