Job summary

Velindre University NHS Trust is preparing to open the new Velindre Cancer Centre (nVCC) in Spring 2027, located near Cardiff. We seek a Clinical Service Manager to spearhead service readiness and mobilisation for this major transformational programme, coordinating clinical, nursing, operational and corporate teams to ensure safe, effective transition.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading service readiness and mobilisation programmes.
• Strong ability to coordinate cross-disciplinary teams across clinical, nursing, operational and corporate functions.
• Ability to develop business cases, option appraisals and governance reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor service readiness plans with clear milestones and ownership.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary workstreams to design and test future service models and pathways.
• Identify risks and dependencies and support mitigation planning.
• Lead planning for dual running and service continuity to ensure patient safety during transition.
• Analyse complex data to support decision-making and service planning.
