Job summary

Capita HAAS in the UK seeks a Clinical Assessor/Functional Specialist to assess claimants in person, via phone, or video, and write evidence-based reports for DWP decisions. The role offers a structured, flexible hybrid schedule with clinic work and home days.

Candidates must be registered clinicians with active PINs and at least one year of post‑registration experience, plus strong IT skills and report writing ability. Full-time and part-time options with a training period are available.

Qualifications

• Registered professional with full registration and active PIN.
• At least 1 year post‑registration experience with adults.
• Strong observational, questioning and communication skills.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate reports from multiple information sources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments via in person, video or telephone to evaluate health impact for benefits.
• Analyse and interpret clinical information and supporting evidence.
• Write detailed evidence‑based reports to support DWP decisions.
• Use IT systems to support clinical decision‑making and reporting.
• Develop clinical knowledge and learn about health conditions.
