About the Role

As a Clinical Administrator, you will provide essential clinical and non-clinical admin support to our Practice Management Team, Doctors, and Healthcare Professionals. Your role will include:

  • Managing reception duties, including patient interactions (face-to-face and by phone).
  • Handling administrative tasks to ensure smooth practice operations.
  • Demonstrating initiative, problem-solving skills, and adaptability in a busy healthcare setting.

You'll be a great fit if you have: strong communication skills (written and verbal), the ability to remain calm under pressure, and work flexibly. A team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach. Experience in healthcare administration (preferred but not essential).

Main duties of the job

Main Duties:

  • Front Desk Management: Greet patients, handle appointments (bookings, cancellations, reminders), and manage enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Patient Records & Data Handling: Update and maintain electronic health records on SystmOne, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Clinical Admin Support: Assist GPs and nurses with tasks like processing referrals, test results, and prescription requests.
  • Prescription & Workflow Management: Process repeat prescriptions, liaise with pharmacies, and manage clinical correspondence.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinicians, reception staff, and external healthcare providers for seamless service delivery.
