Job summary

Turning Point’s Bi-Borough Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing service in Bath is seeking a Clinical Administrator to support the management and operations team. You will maintain accurate records, manage referrals, prescriptions and client prescribing records, and help improve performance.

With training and progression opportunities, you’ll develop your admin skills across posting, billing, clinic letters and booking clinics, while using Microsoft Office and Excel to keep systems tidy.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure everything runs smoothly at the heart of the substance use service, including generating prescriptions and handling newsletters, travel, accommodation, post, invoices, stationery and petty cash.
  • Provide administrative support to the clinical team and liaise with pharmacies.
  • Arrange clinic bookings and health and safety tasks, processing incoming/outgoing post and emails.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Bi-Borough - Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing service as a Clinical Administrator. This is a vibrant, partnership delivering substance use treatment and recovery services across the Bi-Borough (Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea).

As a Clinical Administrator, you’ll support the management and operations team by maintaining accurate records and helping us to continually improve our performance. Offering plenty of variety and training, this rewarding role will involve managing, prioritising, uploading and disseminating referrals, raising and changing prescriptions as instructed by the prescribers, generating prescription batch runs, logging prescribing information on client prescribing records and database, posting prescriptions to; and liaising with pharmacies, completing clinic letters, responsible for arranging clinic bookings, health and safety tasks, dealing with incoming and outgoing post and e-mails through various e‑mail boxes, ordering supplies, petty cash and minute taking.

Role Responsibility

Making sure everything runs smoothly at the heart of our substance use service in Bath, this rewarding role involves support for our clinical team, including generating prescriptions and dealing with everything from newsletters, travel, accommodation and the post to invoices, stationery and petty cash and providing administrative support to our team.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a confident communicator who can prioritise a varied workload and provide wide ranging administrative support. You will have the ability to maintain confidentiality, gather management information and meet deadlines under pressure. You must be a superb organiser and supportive team player with keen attention to detail, impressive administration skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel and spreadsheets.
