Job summary

GetRecruited UK Ltd is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to oversee client payroll operations within a practicing accountancy environment. You will manage end-to-end payrolls, ensure timely processing, and handle HMRC reporting while maintaining strong client communication.

The role requires experience with client payroll in a practice setting and proficiency with Sage 50 Payroll. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll experience gained within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
• Strong end-to-end payroll processing experience.
• Up-to-date understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance.
• Experience using Sage 50 Payroll or a comparable payroll system.
• Good numerical and data-entry skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
• Enter and validate payroll data using Sage 50 Payroll.
• Calculate PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and statutory payments.
• Complete RTI submissions and other HMRC reporting.
• Respond to payroll queries from clients and employees.
• Liaise with HMRC regarding payroll matters.
