Team Leader Cleaning

Location : Watford

Salary : 14.50 per hour

Contract : Permanent 40 hours per week 2pm to 10pm

Start date : As soon as we find the right person

Full UK Driving License required

A sharp detail-driven team leader with a passion for delivering top tier service, a person who is used to working in a fast-paced environment where every day brings a new challenge. This is a diverse hands-on role where you’ll support frontline teams to ensure we exceed service expectations and build strong relationships with clients and employees alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Supervision & Leadership
    • Receive and action handovers from the morning team and facilitate a smooth handover to the evening team
    • Ensure the afternoon team is performing their roles to expected standards
    • Delegate jobs fairly between team members based on skills and workloads
    • Provide clear communication and support to team members throughout the shift
    • Track and assess team performance providing feedback and recognising achievements
    • Carry out weekly payroll duties
Operational Delivery
  • Carry out cleaning duties as part of the team on-site
  • Conduct spot checks and site visits to maintain service quality
  • Sign off completed jobs with clients
  • Visit job sites to gather information for quoting purposes
  • Drive across sites to ensure all teams are meeting expectations
Client & Management Communication
  • Liaise between the Account Manager and staff to relay updates or instructions
  • Communicate with clients professionally and clearly
  • Handle complaints quickly and effectively ensuring follow-up actions are taken to prevent recurrence
Recruitment & Development
  • Assist with recruitment by participating in face-to-face interviews
  • Help onboard and train new starters
  • Support in disciplinary investigations including note-taking and evidence gathering
Compliance & Safety
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety procedures and site requirements
  • Report and address any concerns or non-conformities promptly
  • Conduct toolbox talks with the team.
