Job summary

Amey is seeking a fixed term Cleaner/Housekeeper for Lochend Secondary School in Glasgow to deliver high-quality cleaning services on a part‑time basis. The role is 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 15:30 to 18:30, with a shift that supports safe and clean learning environments.

You will join a team ensuring cleanliness, safety, and compliance across school facilities while contributing to carbon-reduction initiatives and community safeguarding commitments.

• Experience using cleaning chemicals safely and operating cleaning machinery.

Responsibilities

• Provide a cleaning service that meets contractual requirements.
• Control stock levels and order consumables.
• Operate cleaning machinery safely according to guidelines and training.
• Deliver high-quality service to building users and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain H&S standards across the contract.
• Support local and business zero-carbon programmes where appropriate.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a fixed term 6 months Cleaner/Housekeeper to join our Glasgow Schools account in Lochend Secondary School, Cairnbrook Rd, Glasgow G34 0NZ

£13.51 per hour

15 Hours per week (Shift pattern Mon to Fri 15:30PM TO 18:30PM)

We work in partnership with our clients and end-users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the schools.

What you will do:

• Provide a cleaning service that delivers to our contractual requirements.
• Control stock levels and order consumables
• Operate machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided
• Ensure a high-quality service is provided to the building users at all times ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
• This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
