Job summary

Amey Barnsley seeks a Cleaner/Housekeeper to join our Barnsley Schools Account at Horizon Community College. This on-site role is 20 hours per week from 15:00 to 19:00 on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You will deliver cleaning services to contractual standards, manage consumables, operate machinery safely, and uphold health and safety across the contract, contributing to safe, clean school environments across the Trust.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Cleaner to Join our Barnsley Schools Account in Horizon Community College, Dodworth Road, Barnsley S70 6PD – This role will be based on site and will be a 12 month Fixed Term contract.

The salary is £13.45 per hour

The hours of work will be 20 hours per week: 15:00pm to 19:00pm

Amey provides facilities and estate management services to the Barnsley Schools Private Finance Initiative across 11 schools, ensuring high-quality, safe, clean, and compliant learning environments for teachers and students. They work in partnership with clients and end-users to deliver 24/7 services to the highest standard with minimal disruption to the schools' daily operations.

What You Will Do

• Providing a cleaning service that delivers to our contractual requirements
• Controlling stock levels and ordering consumables
• Operating machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided
• Ensuring a high-quality service is provided to the building users at all times
• This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
• Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract
