Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a part-time cleaner to perform cleaning duties across Education and Children's Services premises. The role is mainly based at Laurencekirk Primary, with occasional coverage at other schools within the network during term time.

The post requires PVG scheme checks and references; a Living Wage Supplement is applied to eligible staff earning less than £13.45 per hour. Working hours are 3pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday during term time.

Qualifications

• This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the PVG Scheme; PVG check required.
• Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required if spent outside the UK in the last 5 years.
• One reference from your current or most recent employer is required.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Aberdeenshire Council currently applies a Living Wage Supplement to all Council employees earning less than £13.45 per hour.

This post is predominately based at Laurencekirk Primary however there may be the occasional requirement to cover other schools within the network on an adhoc basis.

Work Pattern: Monday - Friday 3pm to 6pm (Term Time)

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
