Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a cook to prepare, cook and service meals for pupils in primary and secondary schools and community facilities.

The role may involve flexible and weekend working, and there is an emphasis on delivering quality service through ongoing improvement for the organisation.

Competenze

• PVG scheme or update check required.
• Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required if spent time outside UK in last 5 years.
• A confirmed offer of employment is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.

Job Description

Undertake the preparation, cooking and service of food and beverages within primary and secondary schools and community facilities.

This role may require flexible and weekend working.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation

Aberdeenshire Council currently applies a Living Wage Supplement to all Council employees earning less than £13.45 per hour.

Monday - Friday 12.00 - 13.30 (no break)
Contracted - Term Time (every day school is open + working 2 In-Service Days per Year)

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
