  • Work sensitively around residents.

Cleaner – The Mountains Care Home

Location: Libanus, Brecon, LD3 8EN

Pay: £12.35 per hour

Hours: 24 per week

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time

Shifts: 8‑hour or 10‑hour shifts starting from 8:00 AM

Weekends: Every other weekend

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join The Mountains Care Home. Your work will play a key part in keeping our residents safe, comfortable, and happy in a clean, welcoming environment.

About The Mountains

Located in the beautiful Brecon Beacons, The Mountains is a 50‑bed nursing home providing high‑quality support for residents living with dementia and mental health needs. Our team is friendly, committed and passionate about creating a warm, homely atmosphere.

Your Role

As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining excellent standards of hygiene throughout the home. You will:

  • Clean residents’ bedrooms, bathrooms, and en‑suite areas
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in communal lounges, corridors, dining rooms and activity spaces
  • Ensure all areas remain clean, presentable, and odour‑free
  • Follow infection control procedures to keep residents and staff safe
  • Restock cleaning supplies and report maintenance issues
  • Work sensitively around residents, respecting privacy and dignity at all times
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous cleaning, housekeeping or domestic experience (care setting ideal, not essential)
  • Understanding of infection control or willingness to learn
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
  • Friendly, approachable, and respectful
  • Able to work every other weekend
