The Methodist Church in Britain seeks a part-time cleaning operative for St Clement's High School, with daily duties including desks, toilets and surfaces cleaning. You will replenish sanitary supplies and maintain stores and equipment in a safe, orderly area under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor and Headteacher.

Hours are 10 per week across 44 weeks. An enhanced DBS and childcare disqualification declaration apply; visa sponsorship is not available.

Permanent cleaning post at St Clement's High School, covering a designated area of the school under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor, Facilities Manager and Headteacher. The work is daily cleaning of desks, toilets and surfaces, restocking sanitary supplies, periodic store room cleaning and keeping equipment in working order. Hours are part-time, 10 a week over 44 weeks, in a school where an enhanced DBS check and a childcare disqualification declaration apply. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What the job involves

• Clean a designated area of the school under the instruction of the Cleaning Supervisor, Facilities Manager and Headteacher
• Carry out daily cleaning, including emptying bins, wiping desks, vacuuming, mopping, buffing, washing surfaces and cleaning toilet areas
• Carry out general cleaning tasks as required
• Replenish sanitary materials including toilet paper, paper towels and soap
• Clean the store rooms in designated areas periodically
• Keep cleaning equipment clean and in working order
• Comply with departmental health and safety instructions and procedures and the duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
