Longtown Primary School in Cumbria is recruiting a part-time cleaner to join our school community. You will be responsible for general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, mopping and dusting, to maintain a safe and tidy environment for pupils and staff.

Applicants should be aware of health and hygiene procedures, be willing to training, and able to work both independently and as part of a team while engaging positively with children.

• Term weeks: 38 + 2 weeks school closure, minimum paid weeks 45.797

Longtown Primary School is a school very much at the heart of the local community it serves. It has a long and proud tradition of educating and inspiring the children of Cumbria. The Trustees are seeking to employ a cleaner to undertake the following duties:

• General cleaning duties will include vacuuming, floor mopping, dusting, emptying bins etc.
  
• Ensuring that areas are cleaned regularly and to the highest standards at all times
  
• Maintaining health and safety standards and complying with relevant risk assessments
• Ensuring equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly

The successful candidate will:

• Awareness of Health & Hygiene procedures
• Willingness to attend and participate in training
• Able to identify own training needs and co-operate with means to address these
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to relate well to children
